This will get you started on making a bracelet like the "Serpentina" in my gallery. You can also modify it to work round the entire focal bead as in "Burgundy and Lace".

A few pointers:

- the technique is very forviging in accommodating different bead shapes and sizes, but don't make the gradations between bead sizes too aggressive.

- if you want to do a piece similar to "Serpentina" your bead layers need to be symmetrical, i.e. the outside layers need to follow the reverse sequence of the inside layer, otherwise your fans won't connect seamlessly.

- if you are making rounds your layers can follow any sequence you wish

- ensure that your focal bead is round or oval. If you use flattened beads, your first anchoring thread will slip round to stretch around the flattened part of the bead and not around the outside.

Hope you are having fun with this technique. It is very versatile.
